2020 East Coast Rendezvous
April 23 - April 26
We at Ocean Alexander, along with our friends around the world, have been following the news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation daily. The virus has now been established in the US with new cases showing up from coast to coast. As we watch and learn about the precautionary methods that are being implemented, the only prudent action in the midst of a worldwide pandemic is for us to postpone the East Coast Rendezvous that we have planned in April at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort.
The contagion pattern is far from predictable and we need to make wise choices to protect the health of our own community and the ones around us. While it is possible that in a month all of this will subside and potentially not be an issue, we would never want to put our clients’ health at risk, nor place them in a situation where entry back into the US could be met with difficulty.
I know that both the spread of this virus and our decisions about it affect not only our yacht owners’ travel plans, but the lives of many individuals. For many of you, the steps we are taking to protect the health of the community may involve a significant inconvenience. Please accept my gratitude in advance for your goodwill and understanding.
In the coming weeks, we will be exploring options for an event inside the US for later this summer. It would be greatly appreciated if you would complete the survey located below, we can take your preferences into consideration. At this time, our West Coast Rendezvous is still on schedule for June 11th – June 13th, in the Pacific Northwest picturesque San Juan Islands. If you haven’t experienced yachting in the Pacific Northwest, now is your time to take part in this incredible experience. If you are interested in this event, please let us know and we will send you additional information.
Once again, I thank you for your understanding in this time of uncertainty and we will provide our new option as soon as it is arranged.
