Ocean Alexander Finishes Third Quarter with Four New Sales

October 2, 2018 – Alexander Marine International, the importer of Ocean Alexander yachts, is pleased to announce four recent Ocean Alexander Motoryacht sales. Three inventory sales occurred on the East Coast and a new-build order was placed for the West Coast.

Scott Roberton, a Yacht & Brokerage Sales Executive with MarineMax Yachts in Clearwater/Tampa, sold an inventory Ocean Alexander 70e to an existing client. Roberton worked with these buyers prior to buying the OA 70e and traded the client out of their Sea Ray 55 Fly. Roberton explained, “The 4-stateroom layout really appealed to the new owners. The large flybridge with aft deck seating and the additional space on the bow with flexible seating or sunbathing options fit their entertainment needs as well.”

Roberton also sold an inventory Ocean Alexander 85’ to an existing client, moving up from an Ocean Alexander 70e. “For an owner to stay with the same brand, says a lot about the brand,” adds Roberton. “This owner used his 70e frequently and found that he needed more space and the ability to spend more time at sea without provisioning limitations. The increased living spaces on the 85’, the larger fuel capacity, and additional storage from common areas to staterooms is what he was looking for.”

Kevin McCarthy, a Sales Executive with MarineMax Yachts in Fort Lauderdale, sold an inventory Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge. The new owner moved up from a 2011 Ocean Alexander 90’. The owner purchased the 90’ new and finalized this sale of the 100’ without ever stepping aboard the yacht itself prior to closing. McCarthy stated, “The owner is that confident in the brand and was so impressed by his OA 90’ that he bought the new 100’ sight-unseen. I sent him photographs of the updated interior, and that was all he needed prior to closing the deal.”

The new-build order for another Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge Motoryacht was handled in collaboration between Ray Prokorym, V.P. of Alexander Marine USA, and Niel Steenkamp, a Yacht Consultant of the same office. To continue the trend of staying in-brand, the new owners are moving up from a 2012 Ocean Alexander 85’.

When asked about the trend, Prokorym offered, “OA truly stands behind their product and that’s evident by the amount of repeat sales we’re seeing as clients find a need to move into a larger yacht. Support that with additional lifestyle aspects such as incredible owners’ events like the Rendezvous and VIP parties at major shows, it’s an easy decision for our clients to stay with Ocean Alexander. The flexibility we offer with a factory order is also very appealing to our discerning clients and allows them to make the yacht their own.”
