July 15, 2021 – Alexander Marine International, the importer of Ocean Alexander yachts, is pleased to announce the sale and delivery of eight new yachts between April and June of 2021.
Gregg Kopp, based at MarineMax Miami, sold and delivered a 28 Meter Revolution in April. “The buyer was impressed with the fantastic layout, design and build quality of the 28R,” shares Kopp. He adds, “I think there were many factors such as the sheer volume of the 28R, the breathtaking flow, incredible on deck master and spectacular enclosed bridge that made the buyer choose this yacht.”
This delivery was followed by Scott Roberton, based at MarineMax Clearwater, who sold and delivered a 36 Meter Legend to an experienced yachtsman moving up from an 80’ Hatteras. Roberton states, “the buyers are a very active yachting family where the kids have grown up traveling the Bahamas from a young age. It was time to move from their 80’ Hatteras to the next level in size and overall volume. The Ocean Alexander 36L offered all of that with five staterooms and being a true tri-deck. The family also recognized how Ocean Alexander has made a statement in the yachting industry with their quality and attention to detail.”
Next, Mike Doyle, based at MarineMax Pompano, completed the sale and delivery of a 28 Meter Revolution. “This 90’ Revolution offered the buyers the 5-cabin layout and spacious on-deck master they wanted and the stunning skylounge with near 360 views was a big selling feature. The new design direction of OA, the local dedicated service they offer, along with the support of Marine Max in the Fort Lauderdale area, were very strong reasons for this buyer to choose Ocean Alexander,” adds Doyle.
The fourth sale and delivery took place across the Pacific with Alexander Marine Australia, our exclusive dealer for Ocean Alexander yachts in Australia and New Zealand. Todd Holzapfel, based at the home office on the Gold Coast, handled the sale of the 26 Meter Revolution. “The cruising waters around Australia and New Zealand provide for some of the most beautiful yet often time challenging sea conditions anywhere in the world. OA yachts provide for amazing comfort and safety in sea-state conditions that would require most yachts to find safe harbor,” mentions Holzapfel. ”This buyer was overwhelmed with the combination of space, luxury, and sea-worthiness of this 84’ yacht,” he concludes.
The next sale was completed by Scott Douglas, based at MarineMax Wrightsville Beach, on another 28R. With a unique transaction that came together in a surprising fashion. “The buyers joined his brother, a current OA owner, for the 2021 East Coast OA Rendezvous at Atlantis in April. There, they not only got to see a variety of OA yachts, but also got to mix and mingle with other happy owners. Over the following days, there was a steady flow of information back and forth by both parties as the excitement built.”

While ordering a client-specific boat was certainly a possibility, we thankfully came upon the perfect yacht at the Pompano store. This 28R was the perfect match of space (4-cabin), features, luxury, and value that the buyers had hoped for. Even better, they will now be able to enjoy the 2021 boating season without delay due to Ocean Alexander’s commitment to supplying inventory to their dealers.”
The sixth delivery was also completed by Roberton on the final build of the 26R series. Roberton explains, “this was the first large yacht for this experienced boating family. The sheer overall volume of this 84’ yacht made the decision for the new owners that were looking to stay in the 80’ range. The design and layout of the 26R – with the large salon with sight-lines to the bow, great walk-around side decks for the family to move around the vessel easily, and all the entertaining spaces made this a perfect fit.”
This was followed by the delivery for a 32 Meter Legend handled by Michael Tyrrell, based at MarineMax Pompano. Tyrrell shares, “after owning a 72 Princess for two years, the buyers were ready to move up to a larger yacht. The buyer, a nuclear engineer, appreciated the excellent engineering and OA’s brand integrity. His wife fell in love with the elegance, quality, and spacious interior design of the yacht.
Roberton handled the last delivery of the second quarter, on the first hull of the 35 Meter Revolution, the largest model of the Revolution line. “It was an honor to have the opportunity to work with the Zeigler family during the construction of hull #1 of the new 35R Ocean Alexander. This was a very detailed custom project, and the Ocean Alexander team were absolutely amazing to deal with. They made this a great experience for the buyers from weekly progress photos to very detailed answers and drawings to all of our questions and custom requests,” commented Roberton. Hull 2 of the 35R will debut to the world at the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.
